"Waited at bar for service for over 15 minutes and was completely ignored. When asked the lady at bar said just a minute and then promptly tidied bar us rather than serve us. A man already sat at bar then asked her for a drink and she served him before us . As a consequence we walked out and will never return again ! We were trying to ascertain if it was a possibility for a family party but because of service will not be using again !"

"Sunny Saturday in the mai, lunch outside in the garden. the menu was original and exciting, service was excellent, marks menu intro was great, arthur the dog was lovable and eating was incredible! this was my second visit in 3 years, mainly due to the pandemic disorder and the place was so good if not better than this first visit. is recommended to everyone with ears! be they still revered red lion and we will continue to come!"

"If I could rate this place lower than this, I would. Very disappointing food… the fish definitely isn’t what it’s advertised to be! The chips tasted gross and like dirty oil. I expect they are advertising and charging for certain types of fish and providing the cheapest fish type they can possibly get… clearly they think the customers are stupid. There is too much excess of this dirty oil on the food too. Also for the price of the chip portions, they have got to be the smallest, puniest portion sizes I’ve ever seen from a chip shop…. In this instance I was glad because they were vile and I couldn’t eat many as they were tasteless and cooked in dirty oil. Don’t even get me started on the battered sausages, worst sausages ever, not even sure they are sausages… so pappy, pale and probably the cheapest sausage I’ve ever encountered in a chip shop. I know chip shop sausages aren’t meant to be the best quality but my goodness these had no taste at all and you cut into them with a knife and the texture is definitely not one of a sausage but a pappy mess which I expect is all the parts of the pig that you wouldn’t want to eat, if there is any pork in them at all! So if you’re reading this review… I’d save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere… you’d be better off buying the cheapest value frozen food from the supermarket- I expect it would have more taste!"

"Good service, with a smile.....snacks, teas ice cream, wine or beer,got it all here. Seating on a balcony, nice view over the sands and prom, or sit beside the sands, tables and chairs a plenty,even a shelter if it gets windy.Kids play area next door,...roundabout etc. Good value for money, come and try yourself."
