"Open late and well priced. Went in after midnight for a late dinner, owner was clearly stressed as it seemed he'd been flooded with orders, though he quickly took our order and prepared the pizza from scratch speedily. Wasn't expecting it to be great, but pleasantly surprised by the quality. Will be going back."

"We finally decided to try this place that has outweathered the changing and unattractive surroundings on Parramatta Road and seems to be hanging in there.Parking was easily found in the side street with only a short walk to the restaurant.The decor is very pleasant, old-fashioned traditional with much to cast one's eye over, including a very faded surrealist print from the 60's or 70's.that caused me a flashback.The welcome from Franco was immediate and warm. There was an extensive blackboard menu as well as a written one. The prices ranged quite a lot.My wife and I chose to share two entrees: the bruschettas and the fresh figs with prosciutto with gorgonzola sauce. Both were excellent. The gorgonzola sauce was so nice! They also do gnocchi in gorgonzola sauce. I might try that next time. The figs were not cheap at $20 but they used large fresh figs. It was very reasonable value.I chose the Franco Special which was 5 large barbecues prawns and a steak. It came with boiled knipfler potatoes, spinach, carrots and a green salad with dressing. The steak was tender and the prawns were covered in a crumb or something and were peeled. with the head and tail attached. They were delicious.My wife's veal cacciatore was OK.. The sauce was pleasant enough, but we expected some olives or anchovies to add depth to the tomato flavour.We skipped dessert and had a couple of cappuccinos. They were exceptionally good, made with Lavazza coffee.Be prepared to wait for the courses, but it is worth the wait. We enjoyed a glass of wine we brought while we waited and were nicely surprised to hear that there was no corkage. Our meal cost $92"

"Finally tried the new location beyond the road, eating was perfect, we got chicken mushrooms, captivating pesto pasta, french chicken and garnel with rice dishes everything was amazing. the only thing I can owe is the waitress. their lack of English does not help them to communicate some things that have been overlooked, how cute and understanding our choice sit on places, so only the waiters need to improve their skills otherwise eating is wow yum!"

"I just had our mother's lunch at sparqling. the young were on the ball with the reservations and going to come. we haven't waited long to take a place. the moment when a customer left the waiter had cleared up in less than a minute so that the table is available to the next diners. that was amazing! the ambiente of the restaurant was perfect. the personal was very attentive. the food and desserts are reasonable. the food came out in good time, in consideration how packed the place was. at the end of the night we received 2 long lined red roses, which was a nice opportunity to finish a special night. that was a very nice gesture and I thank the owners very much. highly recommended. everything was perfect as usual!"
