"We go there every time we are on our way to Ieper. Right on the border of Belgium and France and one of the highest point. You can see the nearby Abbey for miles. The place has been upgraded in every aspect over the last...years and it is a very welcome place to stop. Lunch is always good and they have special for the day. of course, the beer is tasty. They are also famous for their cheese and have a little shop next door. Private dining room as well. The views are quite something else and of course the history in particular with WW1. A little Church has been built there in memory. My French is limited but Madame always gets what you want with a smile."

My wife took a chicken in Maroilles, tender and with a just well-dobed sauce. I took the Flemish carbonnade, well spicy with an acidulated sauce. The crispy and golden fries.Two Flemish Pavés or Flanders. The drinks from the micro brewery of the estaminet. A red Kommize and a kommize with a nice smoky taste. A beautiful moment and above all we have not been wrong. Thank you"
