"Lovely place to enjoy a proper ice cream. Lots of variety to choose from and prices are perfectly reasonable seeing as they taste devine! Only complaint is the lack of available parking but this is a council thing, not a refection of the business. Would recommend highly."

"The food was lovely, but not faultless and the service was dreadful. The bar staff seem very uninterested, unorganised and lacking in care. We ordered a couple of G&ts specifying which Gins we wanted and they poured the wrong gin. The starters came out, I had the goats cheese pastry, which was nice but was lacking in size. The mains were lovely, but we had one bowl of veg to share between 4 of us and we had to request more gravy. I had the chocolate cheese cake for desert, which wasn’t a cheese cake, more of a moose on top of a rock solid biscuit base, which wasn’t particularly nice. Neither was the cappuccino to follow. The “chocolates” with the coffee consisted of a singular chocolate which again was disappointing. We had vouchers between the 4 of us which entitled us all to the 3 courses and coffee and chocolates. However when the bill came they had charged us for the coffee and chocolates. We explained we had the vouchers, to which the manager rudely replied “you should have told us at the start that you had the vouchers” when in fact I had explained this when I had booked the table. We didn’t receive a full refund for the coffee and chocolates either which we were very disappointed about. We have been visiting the Henley for years now, quite regularly for Sunday dinner and in fact my sister and her husband got married there some years ago. Based on this experience we shan’t be returning in any hurry. It’s a real shame that standards have slipped lately. I think this due to a change in management"
