"We dropped in by chance without a reservation early eve/late afternoon and staff were extremely accommodating. It was our first time here, the server explained it was based on a tapas style but you could order a large dish if you wanted instead of the small dishes. Everything was perfect, probably one of the best meals we’ve had. There were so many delicious options that we picked 5 small dishes, they were quite substantial so could clear the plate of salt pepper calamari. We had the funky spuds with cheese and garlic (like Patatas Bravas but far nicer), prawn pil pil, spicy chicken wings and meatballs with linguini. Each dish was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavour. There’s a great drinks and cocktail menu, we were too full to try dessert but judging by everything else I’m sure they’d be gorgeous too. The restaurant is lovely, atmospheric and cosy, the ideal balance. Can’t wait to try this again, maybe reserve a table for later in the evening."

"We family Dinner with our 7 month baby, last minute decision, we were seated comfortably, such a warm atmosphere decorated beautifully for Xmas with the fire lit definelty gave us the Christmas feels We ended up getting 3 course meals as the dishes were all absolutely delicious full of flavour and a little extra oomph in the ingredients (shallots with butter squash puree with black pudding bits my absolute favourite , a real dining experience in every course, highly recommend, good parking nearby and shops all close by"

"My self and paul recently chose the carrickdale to host our high time honest from beginning to end, there was not a thing that I would change over our whole experience. emily toner, the manager who looked on us, is literally a close on earth, nothing was too much of a please and as additional COVID restrictions had ever imagined us to go out for the high time. eating, service, friendly staff, cleanliness and overall warm welcoming feeling, the carrickdale felt just like home for the few days we stayed in it. the carrickdale would be highly recommended for their high time! and would also recommend asking for emily coordinated."
