"Isolated restaurant a short drive from Bort-les-Orgues. There is a rustic décor to the interior and a friendly welcome from the staff. The good value menu du jour during the week offers 4 dishes for 18 euros. The main menu offers lots of choice (4 or 5 dishes per course) and is competitively priced at 22 euros for 4 courses. The food was all very good and nicely presented albeit served in generous portions. The one tiny error for me was that the excellent home-made apricot tart was spoilt by being served with an inappropriate strawberry sorbet. I suspect that this was an error of the serving staff rather than the chef."

J'ai pris un pounti de bonne facture, une belle truite aux amandes et jambon cru, pour finir avec une mousse de gentiane aux myrtilles. Ma compagne a choisi un granité de concombres, original et frais, un pavé de merlu bien accompagné et comme dessert une mousse de fruits de la passion. Le service est sympathique et les prix très raisonnables.Cet établissement démontre que les réserves concernant les restaurants d'hôtels ne sont plus d'actualité."

"Nous étions venus cet été et avions adoré. Nous sommes revenus hier pour une animation proposée par Nicolas (un des 2 frères qui tient l'auberge) qui consiste à découvrir Le brame du cerf. Sortie très intéressante et sympa (des cerfs partout qui brament mais ils nous ont détectés et sont restés cachés) ! Et au retour à l'auberge, diffusion de vidéos prises par Nicolas, avec explications... Et un dîner auvergnat succulent et très copieux (appétit de moineaux, s'abstenir !), avec que des produits frais et locaux, voire la cueillette de saison. Vraiment à faire connaitre, pour les amateurs d'authenticité."
