"It has been a long time since we visited La Fornace and I was very excited to discover this Italian restaurant again. Our party of 7 over three generations booked a table outside in the shade on a balmy Friday night recently. The first thing I noticed was that the entire staff had changed. Service was fine and we were regularly having drinks (Kölsch as at least four of us were quite thirsty at night. To get things in the right mind, I order an Aperol Royal Prosecco, which I recently drank. Here it came in a tiny glass for over 4,00 euros. I was disappointed. As an appetizer, I liked the sound of the baby honeymoons with salad. I was disturbed, but to discover that there was a huge plate safe enough for a main course in fact did one of our party, in fact they order as its main course. I followed this with a pizza diavolo, which was huge, I just couldn't finish it. I suppose too much is better than not enough, but I just felt overwhelmed... The others in our party were satisfied enough. They had a number of dishes that were all well cooked. Somehow I went with mixed feelings. The place had somehow changed for an atmospheric position. One of the waitresses who could hardly speak German, let alone English, which seemed to be summarized for me, was the missing, secretly friendly feeling about the whole place I remember from the past. I'm sorry, but for me I classified it now as an average, although my 13-year-old son thought it was excellent because he liked his pizza margarita:"

"Wir wurden in ein unscheinbares Restaurant eingeladen und waren zunächst überrascht weil wir den Eingang nicht gleich fanden, war aber unsere "Blödheit". Das Restaurant hat einen hellen Gastraum und zwischen einigen Tischen sind als Fachwerk angedeutete Trennwände vorhanden. Für unser Empfinden ist das Restaurant sehr hell. Freundliche Bedienung, wie sich heraus stellet die Chefin selber, brachte uns die umfangreiche internationale Speisekarte. Da gibt es für jeden etwas zu essen. Der Restauranttester Christian Rach würde vermutlich wieder sagen , da steht zu viel drin, aber auch wir hatten das Problem bei den kulinarischen Angeboten das richtige zu finden. Nach der Bestellung mussten wir einige Zeit auf das Essen warten, was uns eigentlich zeigt, dass man die Speisen nicht schon vorbereitet hat und im Convectomaten regeneriert hat sondern frisch zubereitete. Die Liebe zum Detail zeigten uns dann die gut gefüllten aber nett dekorierten Teller. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und reichhaltig, was den ein oder anderen an die Grenzen brachte. Wenn alle Essen so gut sind, dann Hut ab. Das war wohlschmeckend und die Menge mehr als ausreichend.Das Restaurant bietet auch die Ausrichtung von Festen und Familienfeiern an, was aufgrund der guten Küche und Nähe zur Wohnungh eine Überlegung wert ist den nächsten Geburtstag dort zu feiern.Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal da."
