"Nous sommes tombés presque par hasard sur ce restaurant caché et excentré.La cuisine réalisée est de grande qualité. Nous n'avons pris que des plats principaux avec un super boeuf au vin, un chevreau excellent et un poulpe très bon. Les plats sont servis sortis du feu de bois avec une viande de grande qualité. Nous aurions aimé un service plus sympa (on est peut-être tombé sur un mauvais jour), le cadre est un peu classique mais la qualité de la cuisine l'emporte sur l'ensemble. A conseiller."

"This restaurant is attached to a nice hotel, with vineyard and bar also on site, and plenty of parking! The service is excellent, with waiters able to speak English very well and some other European languages. They are able to advise on the menu and adapt/suggest vegan options, lots of reviews of vegans can be found for this restaurant on their tripadvisor and google page. The wine list is expansive and very good, albeit with a price to match! Both risottos were really delicious, the tofu curry was very filling but not very spicy, and the crumble was interesting and healthy but I personally wouldn’t order again. Wish I’d ordered the soups as they looked really nice as well! The best seating is outside on the balcony, overlooking the ocean and mountainside, especially good at sunset. To get these seats you do need to call ahead and book though. Overall, it’s one of the few places I found veggie food in Madeira outside of Funchal and the experience was lovely"

"Das Restaurant gibt es nicht mehr! Wir haben nachgefragt und gesucht, aber leider gibt es das Restaurant nicht mehr. Das Gebäude ist leer und die Fenster sind mit Zeitungspapier abgeklebt. Auch das in der anderen Bewertung angegebene und fotografierte Schild ist nicht mehr da. Nach Rückfrage in unserem Hotel hat man uns auch gesagt, dass es das Restaurant nicht mehr gibt."

"We dropped in here while driving to Santana and what a mistake it was! Slowest and incompetent service ever, cheap food but not really worth the money. Sadly, the premises and the house itself are pretty nice and inviting."

"Die Anfahrt aus Funchal dauert relativ lange. Da es im Norden liegt, gehört eine Portion Glück dazu, gutes Wetter zu haben. Da es sehr windig ist, sollte eine Jacke im Gepäck sein. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Das Essen sieht nicht nur gut aus, es schmeckt auch so. Hier ist für jeden etwas dabei, egal ob Vegetarier, Fischliebhaber oder Fleischnarr. Preislich ist das Restaurant in der mittleren Kategorie einzustufen. Auch wenn vieles stimmt, lohnt sich die lange Anreise nicht. Dafür hat Madeira zu viele gute Restaurants."

"Food was ok but very expensive for what we had but the drinks! My goodness,we have not paid that much in London! A pot of tea for 2 was €6!! 2 teabags probably cost 20 cents, if that. The cans of soft drinks are also...€3 each. Avoid at all costs unless you are loaded."
