"A wonderful meal. The best pasta I have ever tasted. And charming host Angel. When we arrived no one else was there , so had the place to ourselves. Angel came out and laid the table and we practised our terrible Italian and Angel spoke his good English. An entertaining evening with lovely people and the most delicious food."

"If you are in Ogliastra province in Sardinia and are looking for a traditional Sardinian dinner, then look no further and go to Donnolu! At km 99 of the SS125 road you will see a small deviation on a secondary road, the road is a little bumpy but easy to manage with city cars and even some sport cars. The place had a lot of charm as it is immersed in lush vegetation and a beautiful vineyard, we visited in Summer so we dined outside on the patio. First the appetizers: many types of different appetizers will be brought before you, all ingredients are grown or farmed by the owners in their own lands, so they are the top quality couldn't be any fresher kind of stuff you can imagine, especially the different types of ham are really delicious. Two first courses: typical Sardinian malloreddu with sausage sauce and culurgiones (a sort of pasta stuffed with potatoes) both delicious. The typical Sardinian roasted pork, now this is really remarkable, the owner makes it himself and procure the pigling from their own, so once again km0. Fruits and traditional sweets will follow, coffee and a selection of various liquids of their own making. Wine: we didn't have the choice to pick a bottle of our own as we had already the wine made with their own grapes on our table... Quite strong wine as most red wines from Sardinia, but great taste, that got along perfectly with the rich food we were served. 27€ Summer 2015, all courses. The owners are wonderful people very kind and always ready to assist."

"We loved everything we had here! Very fresh, super tasty, local produce, home cooked. Service was excellent. We had smoked Salmon, tuna and swordfish for starter, Hugband had the sausage and I had the fish! Grilled Bream, Squid and shrimp.. Gorgeous! And coffees, Tiramisu, Limoncello, and I Love the Sardinian dessert with honey and cheese Delicious. All perfect. Definitely book highly recommend"
