"In the area visiting family and we needed lunch. We decided on take out from Frankie’s Fish Chips. 3 haddocks, a couple of chips, mushy peas and curry sauce later we had a reasonable lunch. Not bad, but we have had better. The interior of the shop is nice, though."

"Our local chippy! And the best chippy we have been to by far! Since moving to Hindhead, Hindhead friars has been our go to when we can’t be bothered to cook! Literally a 2 minute walk, very quick service generally and the owners take the time in knowing the regular customers. I love the fish bites and chips! The chips are always cooked to perfection and will definitely be the reason for any weight gained over lockdown"

"Sadly, this will be my last visit to this chippy. Used to be excellent but after a recent change of hands it’s rubbish. Fish is still good but chips are terrible and more than that the service is shocking. I’ve given them three tries, and on average I’ve had to wait between 25-30 mins (not a Friday or Sat). Part of my order had been forgotten about one one occasion adding yet further time To my wait. In addition, the lady and gent that are always cooking and serving are always bickering which is not a great impression. A real shame!"
