"Wir waren mit unseren Oldtimerfreunden bei der Ausfahrt zum 1. Mai bei der Mittagsrast in der Buchenmühle. Unsere ganze Gesellschaft bestand aus gut 40 Personen. Trotz Vorbestellung des Mittagessens war das blanke Chaos in der Gaststätte. Die Bedienungen irrten planlos durch das Lokal. Wenn man dann eine Bedienung greifen konnte, war diese nicht zuständig. Um die Bestellung der Getränke aufzugeben, dauerte es nur ca. 40 Minuten und schon etwa 10 Minuten später hatten wir diese auch. Für das vorbestellte Essen mussten wir noch etwas mehr Zeit einplanen. Die Ersten bekamen ihr Essen schon nach ca. 1 1/2 Stunden und die Letzten hatten doch schon ihr Essen nach gut 2 Stunden. Unser geplanter Tagesablauf war auch nicht mehr einzuhalten und die Laune der Gäste war teilweise auch nicht mehr die Beste. Von der Lieblosigkeit der Serviererei sollte man gar nicht erst anfangen. Als mein Essen "ausgerufen" wurde und ich Hier rief, flog meinem Gegenüber der Teller um haaresbreite an seiner Nase vorbei und ich, bzw. meine Frau haben das Essen schon auf meiner Hose gesehen. Mit soviel Elan hatten wir nicht gerechnet. Da man in einem Hotelgasthof so etwas ähnliches wie "guten Apettit" oder ähnliches erwarten kann ist wohl auch zu viel verlangt.Die Größe der Portionen ist mittelmäßig bis klein. Wir haben wirklich schon größere Seniorenteller gesehen. Der Geschmack ist durchschnittlich. Das die Beilagensalate von unterschiedlicher Zusammenstellung (bei gleichem Hauptgericht) ist, wollte ich nur am Rande erwähnen. Der Salatteller mit Hähnchenfleisch meiner Frau war teilweise verwelkt.und hatte weniger Dressing drauf als mein Beilagensalat, war also f....trocken.Von der Größe ganz zu schweigen. Da wir zu diesem Zeitpunkt schon so ausgehungert waren, unterliesen wir eine Beschwerde. Unabhängig davon war auch keine Bedienung zu greifen. Noch schlechter ging es einer jungen Mitfahrerin, deren Portion so klein war, das sie sich gleich beschwerde. Worauf sie die Antwort bekam " Iß erst mal auf, dann sehen wir weiter".Zum bezahlen kamen wir dann auch nur sehr verzögert.Nunja, in manches Lokal geht man nur einmal!Anscheinend hat es der Hotelgasthof Buchenmühle nicht nötig, dass die Gäste nochmal kommen.T. Fäth"

"Café Dani is located in the pedestrian area in the beautiful Lohr. You can sit inside or outside. They offer vegan breakfast and vegan pancakes. We had both. Breakfast included a bread basket, humus and guacamole, jam, vegan butter, melon, tomatoes and basil, yogurt with fresh fruit. The breakfast was a lot, but the humus was not homemade. Pancakes were delicious, but there were only two. So it's a little expensive. They come with maple syrup and blue berries."

"Honestly, I am at a loss to explain the current standings of this restaurant We dined at Weinhaus Mehling a few days ago. Our experience at Gasthaus Schonbrunnen was at least as good, if not better. It's not just the food, which was...excellent. But that waitress! She was extremely busy, yet maintained perfect good humour and managed to have a friendly talk with us when we were about to leave. A real treasure, if you ask me. Getting back to the food, we had two soups for starters. The pumpkin soup was ok, the beef broth with pieces of liver and klößchen was very tasty. Then we had pork schnitzel and pork medaillons with pfifferlinge (a kind of mushroom), both very good. The Amaretto parfait was a bit cold, but the digestives, Wildsautropfen and Quetschgenwasser, made up for that. All in all, we highly recommend this restaurant."
