"Truely awful have visited here 3 times over past month first time was nice. Second time chicken in snack box and burger was awful it was like it was a reheat of left overs from previous night. Visited today hoping for third time lucky and was very disappointed chips cold, once again chicken was way overcooked dark brown in colour verging on black, dry it tasted and looked like last night 's reheated and served up or instead of fresh chicken cooked chickens and then recooking/ 're frying. Truely awful would give zero stars if I could"

"Called in for lunch whilst working in the area. The owner/manager Tony? is a lovely guy who, on the day i called in, recommended the southern fried chicken to me. Apparently he had just had his chicken frying machine repaired and told me that he was now serving the best fried chicken in Ireland. Well, I had to take him up on his statement!! I have to say, he wasn't wrong. I had a snack box with 2 of the largest and tastiest pieces of chicken and chips that i have ever had. The man wasn't wrong in his recommendation, the chicken was superb as were the chips. I will definitely return here and would recommend this restaurant to anyone living or just passing through Ashbourne. Has to be one of the best takeaways around."

"We had a booking for a table of 5 on Saturday night to celebrate a graduation the place was packed, The bang bang prawns and the black pudding croquettes off the specials board are to die for, as are the prawn chorizo burger, fish and chips and a perfectly cooked fillet steak, all happy and not a crumb left on the plates. All washed down with a very nice reasonably priced Malbec. Good priced cocktails too. Great service and atmosphere too. Very enjoyable and will be back soon."
