"I just ordered one of the worst meal times of frog island! my family and I couldn't eat it. perch dinner was so over boiled and hard you could not get any fish from it to not mention all the bones! and the dick, what is it? the crab soup was cold and loaded with dishes! so despicable! still hungry and will never again become frog island restaurant!"

"My wife and I have talked about going to the Coinjock Marina every time we pass the turnoff on our drive back and forth to the Outer Banks. So for our anniversary, we decided to drive the hour there for dinner. It's a popular place, no doubt. On this day, the restaurant opened at 4 p.m. and by the time we left just after 5, the dining room was full and the bar was well-populated. We both had broiled seafood platter, which comes with hush puppies and two sides. The pollock, scallops and hush puppies were fine. My wife, more the foodie than me, said the shrimp, while very large, seemed overcooked. Both of us thought the crabcake tasted more like filler. The sides we had were tasty: scalloped potatoes, applesauce and beets. We also had a cup of she crab soup as an appetizer and they were delicious. Also, our server Whitney did a fine job. Would we return? From the interwebs, it doesn't look like this place is open for lunch, so chances are we'll skip over it."
