"$69 for two pizzas, wings, and some cheesy bread. They charge you an extra couple dollars for crispy wings, and they tact on a mandatory 15% on online orders. Yes, my wife had to tip the restaurant 15% for me to go pickup for a carry out order. Will never dine here again. Could’ve gone to Lorenzo’s for that money, and their pizza is actually good."

"That must be the worst. I was double charged for something that was THEIR error, i.e. bones in wings against boneless wings, because the person who took the command did not hear. We always order boneless wings because I can't eat bones in wings. We had this trouble, but decided to give them another chance. They told me that since the bones in the wings were finished, I have to take them. I told them I know what I ordered and I wanted to be a boneless wing. They made the boneless wings, but they accused me for both orders of the wings. When I called her, she said it was your fault and we didn't charge the charges. Do NOT order from East of Chicago South Amherst... they don't listen to orders and if they do the wrong thing, they blame you and say you didn't order right. I'm on social security, and I need $15 to upset me a month. Nice to know East of Chicago doesn't care about their older customers. I will tell everyone that I know about their unfortunate service and how rude these managers and employees are. I can buy pizza elsewhere even tho I was always a fan of East of Chicago but not anymore. You need to send their managers and employees to a customer service training I've never treated in my life like that. I'm mad."

"Six of us went to dinner last night, we all went for the first time, and we were all pleasantly surprised and happy with everything. We sat near a beautiful fireplace, and most ordered from the drinks menu. The house Gin and Tonikum was excellent, and the Bloody Mary my husband was excellent. For appetizers we had the fried green tomatoes that were not only delicious, the presentation was very appealing. A friend ordered the cheese and the baconqueso with cornbread chips... if they were different and very tasty. My husband had the salmon he said was good, the broccoli that accompanied him was excellent. A friend got the fried chicken, crowned greens and lignets and explained to be excellent- his clean dish supports this statement. Another had the shrimps and gres and loved it, the filled meatballs over spaghetti was a huge part and was said to be delicious. I had the Greek pizza that was good, but after seeing the fried chicken's request, I got it. Another got the veggie pizza and sent the first back because it was overcooked for them (I would have loved it crispy) and after a fresh one was very happy with it. On this note our waiter was efficient, helpful and focused. He volunteered immediately to take back the overcooked pizza, and first my friend said it was good, then called him back and said no, it was too crispy and he happily removed it and in a short time brought another, the cook had one in the oven just in case. The waiter made suggestions to those who had questions and answered everything. All in all, it was a pleasant, delicious experience and we will definitely return. There was not much of a lot of a Friday night, but the weather was crappy, Ohio State was ready to play, and it is between holidays. I hope people try this place and see how good and different it is. I can't see how someone could get disappointed from Green Square."

"Great little spot in a cute corner of Amherst. We came here from Oberlin after exploring basically all the options there over the course of several viaits there are some great spots, but inquiring minds want to know what else is in the area . We are outside on the sheltered patio which was lovely well until a couple decided to smoke multiple cigarettes on the sidewalk 10 feet from our table near the end of our meal . Passing trains can be noisy at times but traffic is otherwise not a problem. Cocktails were good with a decent selection of draft beer, creative mixed drinks, and good wine choices they've won a Wine Spectator award for their cellar . The focaccia style bread with herbed butter was warm and tasty. All of the entrees had a little flair poached cod with pea puree, grilled shrimp pasta, and grilled swordfish with Asian slaw but I have to admit that my cod was pretty bland, though well cooked not overcooked! . The stat was probably the steak, not only for its massive size, but because it was so tender and the roasted potatoes with it were practically irresistible. After dinner we shared a nice and light lemon parfait we're kind of a chocolate and Ice cream crowd, but the parfait didn't last four minutes on the table as it went well with coffee. The service deserves praise too, since we were with my elderly parents with various visual and hearing issues that the staff handled with skill and respect."
