"I’ve always been a big fan of Cafe Japan sushi for the quality of food as well as the service. I’ve visited for dinner last night and although the staff was very attentive and caring and fish was good, rice was just terrible. As a Japanese I understand the importance of rice when having sushi and café Japan never disappointed me before. But the rice I had yesterday was simply revolting. Either badly cooked or poor quality rice was broken and glued together, it has completely destroyed the good taste of fish. Very disappointing."

"If you are a lover of Japan and all things Japan, a visit to Japan House on High Street Kensington is a necessity. The large space has been re done and the modern designer avatar is amazing. The clean lines and white everything makes it the most soothing space on the rather busy high street. Upon entering you are welcomed by a stunning but very neat white colored cafe bar. Do try their matcha lattes, amongst the best in London. The Japan House also displays traditions crafts and items from Japan. In the basement, they have a library and an exhibition space. We saw the exhibition on traditional windows of Japan. And their evolution. A really nice space, everyone visiting High Street Ken must stop and wander at Japan House."

"Not the most beautiful of all places where I was, but served very good food. I was dressed when I went by and saw it was filled with humans. my friend loves authentic Japanese cuisine (yes, she is Japanese herself) and we decided to go to lunch. when we got the menus, it was very excited and read the menu in Japanese and said that the dishes are very authentic and not usual to find in london. we both decided to order from the rubric "Hot Menus" as it was a competitive offer (Miso soup, rice, natalat and a main of their choice for about 10 pfund.) she went for the salmon fillets in teriyaki sauce, and I went for the hay in teriyaki sauce (which was so fast, before I realized that it was so hot) I would say that this is a large small place in london to go if they want to eat healthy, but definitiw no place for a romantic date."

"There are very limited vegan sushi and it is very expensive, especially as just veg and no attempts to art fish. We have a vegan ramen food deal (there are two different types of vegan arms that come with tofu, but only one is available in the meal deal), which also comes with a drink and edamame. We also have a Tofu side dish and Inari Sushi. The food was delicious, although a bit on the expensive side. Would be great if they had more options and less plastic packaging."

"Nice acceptable Chinese restaurant. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The dishes are pretty standard and the menu is extensive. The grilled fish was a good option. Wine and beer are also available. £72 for two eating dinner is a little pricey though."

"Good quality dim sum. A little expensive and portion sizes for dishes such as fried noodles could be a little more generous. Trying to get the attention of the waiter/waitress on a busy Sunday afternoon can test your patience... as can the queue for a table on a Sunday. Still, the dim sum is worth the wait."

"To know a restaurant is to eat there. To really KNOW a restaurant is to strike up a relationship with its owner. I stopped by China Garden and ordered marinated jellyfish and ma lo tofu. The waitress took my order and this woman, the owner, came over to confirm my order, and I started to chuckle. She explained that not many people, non chinese, order these dishes, so I assured her that yes indeed i know what i am ordering and we both got a laugh.
