"We experienced a summer holiday at the 4-star Wildpark Hotel in Bad Marienberg in the Westerwald. A family-run hotel far from Hectik and Großstadtlärm and half an hour drive from the next highway! 75 rooms, from the single room to the suite with its own Whirl Pool, invite you to gain distance from everyday life, pamper and enjoy the nature that extends around the hotel until the eye can see. We ourselves had a generous dog room where our four-legged companion could be there. I thought it was a good idea to remove some of the rooms from animal friends so that other guests don't even find a dog hair in their room. Before we wear our hiking boots, we enjoyed the wellness offers at the hotel: the beauty and wellness area is increased to 640 m2. The steam bath and the Finnish sauna are naturally included and also the health after the pastor Kneipp in the water reservoir. Every week there is Aqua Fitness for guests. Men who think this water gymnastics would be women's stuff should leave this prejudice in the wardrobe room and try it as soon as possible. Strength, endurance and mobility are increased in the water. Swim noodles serve as resistances that act like weights in the gym. And there are even short weights. Not made of metal, but made of a special foam. They wouldn't be very hard to use them over water. If! The “Tempel of Recreation”, a curved resting space, is to be pampered in particular. The hotel calls it a “mystical sphere when it experiences the natural elements fire, water and light.” We could definitely relax on the water beds in the colour game and only the pleasure of the buffet in the restaurant lured us out again. The stylishly elegant restaurant with á la carte dishes and a rich cold-hot buffet invites you to the end of the day. If you are lucky to eat at least two evenings, you will miss the quality of choice if you do not want to eat covered in the restaurant in Piazza Leone with a large glass dome. In the beautiful weather that accompanied us, it was clear in the morning where we had breakfast: on the flowering terrace overlooking the Westerwald. We had served coffee and cake in the 360° rotating restaurant. Who is up there for an hour has turned around his own axis with the restaurant and next to the cake can also enjoy the view in all directions. Right next to the hotel is the Hedwigsturm. At the latest, the ascent awakens the desire to wander through the gentle hills. The hotel shuttle service brought us to the other end of the eighth stage of the Westerwald-Steiges.
