"This was a great find for swimming and paddleboarding in Lake Brienz. It was basic and not much English was spoken but it was quiet and you can hire paddleboards by the hour. There are changing facilities, toilets, an outdoor shower, sunbathing lawn, a cafe and restaurant, drinks and ice creams and an inflatable and slide in the water. There was a small pool and play area for young children. It was about a 10 min walk from the train station but well worth it. Beautiful mountain views. 5 Francs entrance adults, 3 Francs for children"

"Not pleasant for tourists who do not speak German. based on other reviews, this seems to be a frequent complaint. the lookout is nice and eat pretty well, but the waitress was incredibly rude. Once she knew we were not talking German, she suddenly became incredibly cold. visited other tables consistently, but not ours. we had to ask three times about this, because she forgot us and ignored us when we tried to throw them down. do not go here unless they want to feel very unwilling."

"The restaurant is located in a typical appenzeller house a little outside the ortes hundwil on the main road. "The swiss burger was really really tasty and the fries as well! Probabely the best fries ive ever had in a bistro... The staff way very friendly and its good value for money. The only drawback is that it is located near the street so it might be a bit noisy..."
