"Our recent High School Grad Reunion was held at Fairways Bistro with planning that commenced 6 months earlier, largely planned long distance. Darren Bezanson, Chef/Owner & his staff really came thru for us, by honoring the original quote, re:cost changes during that period. Planning by email is not easy but with the experienced staff Darren and Coral it all worked out wonderfully, having the dining room to ourselves, being over 50 plus, for the Morning Meet & Greet, (Village Cheese, Crackers, breads and Fresh Fruit Platters, Tea/ coffee at $5/person; some played a round of golf in between, while others were at other events, and then a return for the Dinner and Agenda later that day. Table placement, white table clothes, fresh carnations, utensils wrapped with a serviette and classic black band, etc. And did I mention the menu...everything was so tasty and enjoyed by all from the Carved Roast Beef Au Jus, fresh salads, home made white buns etc etc (small suggestion for a whole grain or brown bun also), to the incredibly decadent Devin Chocolate Brownie garnished with glazed strawberry or orange slice and mint. The Vegetarian option of the Oven Baked Stuffed Red Pepper was also very, very good. The service was excellent and we were able to run a short program with their wireless mike, Sirius Radio, & the able assistance of Fairways Bistro, under Darren's experienced management. When we did not have a photographer, Jolene a staff member was mentioned by Darren as able in that field and the results of groups on the green, by the fountain, on that beautiful sunny evening, taken from the patio, were definitely the memory keepers. I would highly recommend using this establishment to plan your event or go in for a dinner with friends, after a nine hole golf game or any special event as the food is great and the locale absolutely beautiful. I will certainly be returning with my spouse when back in the area and the old home town. I heard they have an awesome brunch as well. Thank you Fairways Bistro at Royal York!"
