"The food here is to die for. We are always seeking the best lamb and Chez Heini advertised theirs being very good. It did not disappoint! The restaurant is pricey but they give you plenty of good food, it's worth every penny."

"Located right next to the Täsch Bahnhof, perfect for travellers who doesn't want to stay overnight in Zermatt. With a train pass it would not be a problem to stay in Täsch overnight and there are plenty of connections to Zermatt throughout the day. The rooms are tidy and spacious for the price. Nice and quiet, and well insulated from the winter cold. Staff are genuinely friendly and helpful."

"Although the vibe here was nice and looked promising in the beginning, the night here ended in catastrophe. Firstly, the waitress got our orders wrong (for both mains). We brushed this off as we didn’t want to make a fuss. We were served a pork steak and hot plate beef steak. Then at the end we saw the bill and had an unpleasant surprise about how much we were about to pay for something we didn’t even order. Little did we know what awaited us… nevertheless we paid for it as it was our fault for not bringing it up in the first place, and left. Later that night, both myself and my husband woke to severe symptoms of food poisoning vomiting, diarrhoea etc. It had to have been the pork steak they served me (which my husband also tried from me) which was severely undercooked (which we foolishly ate). I guess we assumed if a restaurant was serving us medium rare pork then it was safe to eat. A brutal lesson learnt to never eat pork underdone or to ever visit this restaurant again."

"Tucked away in a side street near the Zermatt Station you could easily miss this delightful restaurant, which would be a shame. We chose Rosstall as the venue for dinner on the first evening of a weeklong stay in Zermatt and were charmed by the rustic and homey atmosphere, helped along by our first snowfall of the holiday. Serving local specialities, we treated ourselves to a selection of shaved cheeses and dried meats, followed by a rich and creamy fondue. Reasonably priced (for Zermatt), this is definitely a winner."
When the weather conditions is good you can also eat and drink outside, and there is complimentary WiFi.

"This used to be one of the most authentic quality places in Zermatt. The original owners retired last year and it has now reopened for business. We didn't eat here yet, but our first (and impression is that the finer touches which made this...place perfect, are now totally missing. No eye for detail. And not every place should be turned into a lounge/après-ski bar. Still some work to do!"

"I'm really disappointed with this meal. The food is fine, but the service is actually the worst I have ever experienced in Zermatt. First we make the reservation at 6:30, but the restaurant is closed at this time because the waiters are not ready. And we have to wait in front of the restaurant until they're ready. Secondly, if we hang our clothes on the front door, because we need a little longer, one of the waiters in Italian will escape us. He can really feel that we don't understand Italian, but one of us unfortunately speaks Italian. The restaurant is very loud, the waiters speak loudly with each other in Italian around us. The waiting period is particularly long, it takes two hours to wait until we get our main course. We have tried to ask the waiter several times and ask him to speed up the process as we wait too long, but they are really impatient. Finally, we ask for the bill without our dessert, as we waited 30 minutes for the dessert."
