"Being a fan of the yiros we called into the Capalaba branch for a quick lunch. Ordered vegetarian yiros with chilli sauce. The vegetarian patties were crispy on the outside soft inside loved the fact they had pumpkin in them. Plenty of fresh salad a few chips so that equates to a healthy lunch for me"

"Went there for breakfast with friends. My breakfast of smashed avo, feta and bacon was good. Our friends said the mushrooms were old and salmon was not fresh. Overall an average food experience. The lady owner was friendly."

"I’m old enough to remember the original Inn in the city. The ridiculously airy cakes that nearly floated off your plate; the dumb waiter down to the kitchen below; the pots if tea to go with your cake. This is the memory. The modern day...coffee houses that display the name still have the charm, but coffee has become the beverage of choice. Baristas are the essence of any great coffee. I’m not sure if they all get the same training, but the Capalaba Shingle Inn always delivers a fabulous cup. Just the right temp for it to be hot but creamy smooth. The food selection has well and truly changed over time. My favourite sinful treat with coffee is the sour cherry and almond loaf. Served warm, it is just a divine accompaniment to my coffee. They do a yummy Goodness bowl for the more health conscious. Will definitely fill you up for the day. The service is fast and friendly. It can get quite busy on the weekend. Always worth the wait fir a great coffee. Prices are about average for the coffee and the food. If you have a main meal and a coffee, you wont get much change out of $20. That said, you will definitely leave knowing you’ve been fed and watered. This is my regular Saturday morning haunt....and Sunday if I can get there. Enjoy!"

"Too salty. Too much sauce on stir fry noodle. it says one topping and veggies but staff never ask what veggie I want to cook. They just pick cheapest veggies, onion carrot and bit of bok choi. <br br/>Chef must learn how much sauce need to add on each dishes. Waste recommend at all."

"This has been my go to place in Cleveland for takeaway fish and chips for sometime now. It may have it's faults but it runs rings around it's competitors in the area in my opinion.<br/>So my standard order is crumbed cod, calamari, and beer battered chips with a tub of aioli. I have never been able to fault what I have received. The fish is beautiful and white and thick, not like some other places where it is tasteless and looks so thin like the fillet has been sliced in half! The beer battered chips are amazing and worth the bit extra. Overall I think the pricing for most items is standard and the dune in meal deals look to be of a good size from what I have seen. I am yet to try one though.<br/>I have read on here several complaints about the staff. I personally haven't experienced anything negative but have also had no reason to date to return to them with an issue. I wouldn't say the service is great it's just mediocre which sadly is what we can usually expect these days it would seem.<br/>On the downside:<br/>1) Last night I wanted to order a burger for each of my children but at $13.95 I found the price exorbitant. On the menu it came with chips which I didn't want. On asking I was told that the price would be the same with or without chips. WHY? I really can't understand why? It's not an order from their meal deals so why should I expect to pay the same without chips. Why can there or be some flexibility? I find this unreasonable and just plain greedy.<br/>2) Parking. Samson's is located at Raby Bay Harbour within a dining precinct but it is also surrounded by apartments making competition for parking tough. It doesn't matter what time of the day you go there it is near impossible to get a park. At night you've got buckleys of snaring a spot. Even the underground parking is full. It really is off putting when you want to grab a quick takeaway and you have to drive around for a park, or else park further afield and walk back."

"Absolutely the most appalling store. They get every order wrong every time we go there. Today we ordered a family dinner box. Totally uncomplicated order, yet they forgot to put a meat patty on the cheese burger!! What the heck?! How bloody hard is it?...Bunch of idiots working there. Will never go back there again. Worst store ever"

"Was a local at this particular restaurant, lived literally around the corner. Ate take away and have eaten there when I really couldnt cook. They are superrrbbbb! The staff are always so nice, so polite and so professional. They have music nights on Fridays, a neighbor of mine played there was was fantastic. Just a really nice vibe. I always got the steak, they had an absolutely divine potato scollop cake thing *drool* they stopped doing that but it was still delicious food. Some of the desserts you cant take home with you but just ask about it and they can let you know."
