"If you like seafood tapas in a simple way, this is the place. We travel 40 minutes to go here for lunch. Fish and seafood are extremely fresh and prepared by mum...the owner. They have a large choice of tapas ranging from 5€ to 10 and a set menu at about 11€. Try the steamed mussels, plancha sardines, squids, anchovies, etc...they do do good. Reserve your table as they are only a few..."

"My wife and I went recently for Sunday lunch. The menu offered an extensive choice at what looked like good value at €17. The starters 3 each were included albeit in very small portions. A salad, croquettes and Jamon with a scrambled egg. My wife had for her main three very small pieces of tuna and an even smaller portion of over-salted potatoes. All without flavour. My main course was a fish stew with rice. It contained 2 langoustines and a very small portion of shells that were mainly empty. Again this was heavily salted. What is it with the Spaniards and their love of salt? I had to chase the waiter/owner twice for bread which although on the menu was nowhere to be seen. The dessert consisted of a few small triangles of fresh pineapple sweet but not well prepared with bits of core still present. The final straw came when I went to pay with my card and was told cash only. They made no concession for anyone who did not speak Spanish. No English, French or German signs to this effect, only Spanish and all hand written not printed. This is a holiday resort. El Congo is only interested in its local Spanish customers. The waiter/owner was greeting all his Spanish friends and that is all he was concerned about. Never again."
