"Coming back down our historic walk from Il Castello, I could not help but notice this quaint little spot around one of the bends as you head back into town. It was still early and the owner was behind the bar with his amico, and was gracious enough to refill my empty water bottle and even added some ice. We struck up a conversation in typical Abruzzese dialect and they wanted to know where I was from back in the US. We chatted some more, and even though they were not open yet for food, as our clan was starving after the long hike up to the ancient castle, he apologized to me and offered me an espresso or a glass of wine on the house. His hospitality was contagious to the point where I promised to return another time to sample his fine food, which smelled fantastic as it was being prepared. Never go the chance this time, but like Arnold Schwartzennager, I promised I 'll be baack!"

"With a big group of friends we went all together to this restaurant. We’ve been recommended from our friends. We had lunch outside in the terrace. The waiter suggested us a testing of their best dishes: ravioloni with pecorino cheese and saffron cream and pasta with chickpeas. After we ate fried lamp, pork with prunes salads steamed vegetable and roasted potatoes. The food was ok more or less. The service was super slow outside was full of wasps, we asked 3-4 times refills of water and wine which arrived after 30 minuets. In the end we paid lots of money. We will not come back for sure"

"Though it takes a bit of an effort to get a reservation there, once you’re in, you will experience the best Abruzzo cuisine. Mama is in the kitchen, that says it all. Diners start off with unsolicited appetizers. Original and delicious, each day different. Pasta dishes are to die for. The meat dishes pork and lamb were excellent. The surprise (learned that from another reviewer) we’re the dishes that had yo be ordered a day in advance. Both the lasagne (home made) and the stew of sheep were just perfect. The cheeses that we took to finish the meal, were of a rare regional variety and taste. Allow yourself to have a bottle of the wine from Abruzzen and you will have one of the nest meals of your holidays at a very fair price."
