"This was worth the 1 hour from Perth to try their crumpets dish we also got a mix of cakes that were delicious. Lots of variety on the menu for everyone and can’t wait to go back to try some other dishes. Highly recommend"

"No thanks. Wanted to know what all the fuss was about. Heard good things about this place so we finally tried it it. Placed phone order, was told pick up in half an hour. There were insanely busy and it actually took almost 1 hr before we finally had our meal. We had snapper, squid rings and chips. At first glance it looked really good but at first bite I realized that the batter was about the thickest I've ever seen. Half of my fish actually had that much batter on it that the batter itself was uncooked and just a wet and gluggy mess. "Attended Peel Alehouse Thursday night.The meal was excellent, the staff went above and beyond to help all attendees. The only problem and it's a huge one, is that there are no paper menus to read. You now must down load an app to read and order your meal. Also put all your details and credit card details on the app. Almost without exception all the patrons had difficulty with this. Many people who have previously been regular attendees just up and left the premises stating they will not return. Our table had great difficulty trying to use this app. We were all older people, but even the younger groups weren't happy. The staff were excellent in helping deal with all the complaints and made sure we were able to enjoy a meal. But if this system continues, we won't be back again. The obvious solution is to have both your app for those who are happy to and able to use it and normal menus for those older people who find this technology too confronting and difficult to use. If you don't you are going to lose a lot of your once very frequent customers. The 5 star rating I gave you was for a great meal and your very excellent staff who spent the evening helping all the upset patrons."

"We had the day off and took a drive down to Mandurah just for something new. We were starving hungry, so looked for the nearest place to stop for lunch. Decided on this one. We were the first lunch customers for the day. We were greeted very warmly on arrival. We settled on two very different dishes. My husband ordered the duck and I ordered the medium spicy rendang which came with a boiled egg fried, 2 sauces, spicy eggplant, a salad, rice and it was all so yummy. The servings were quite generous and I had to get my hubby to help me finish, if not a 'doggy bag' was the other option. We had no room for desert, and left the restaurant, quite happy, and almost ready for a 'nice nap in the sun on the foreshore'. Would definitely recommend trying this place out for yourself. Prices were reasonable, and the service good."
