"We arrived without a reservation but got a table for an hour - if we are fast enough. I told them that it depends on their cooking speed but we should be OK so we got the table. Then we waited... at some point we got the menu and ordered. The food arrived quite fast with the drinks but without any friendly service. The food was OK but NOTHING special: Pizza Calzone: basic, nothing special. Lasagne: boring standard, at least sizzling hot. The salad was OK but very little of everything (olives, eggs, artichokes, ... ), fresh with some standard dressing. The risotto was a disappointment, plain taste with long grain rice and not what it should be Arborio or similar. After we finished we again waited for the service as we wanted some dessert. After we complained the waitress got to us and, gratefully, accepted our order for Tiramisu.... which we should have skipped and straight away left the place. The Tiramisu was sponge cake with whipped cream and some coca over it. Really bad!!!We weren't really finished with the Tiramisu when we were removed from our tables as the next were arriving... as I said, we could have easily made it hadn't it been for their speed.Our neighbor's table (some local glider club president) got full speed service and entertainment from two of the staff (or even the owners) so the conclusion for us is:food is mediocre, service is only OK if you are a local celebrity so only go there if you are a local celebrity. We won't come back - although the interior is quite nice."

"Ok so this town has many nice places with nice gardens etc. This place menu is same as many other German restaurants in this area and up in the Alps, however. A Kaiserschmarren here is simply better and more well made. Tried lamb, slow cooked pork, schnitzel and all were of good quality. Def. worth a stop!"

"In our week at Altmühlthal we ate twice in Millipp. The food was very recommended by trusted friends and we competed. The entire culinary experience was somewhat less pleasant. During our first visit the dining areas were fully equipped. Tables were regularly available during the second visit. The food was excellent on both occasions, and the service was slightly unsatisfactory, but friendly. Millipp is not only a restaurant, it is also a hotel and a butcher shop. There is a synergy between these companies. All are under one roof and everyone contributes to the whole. All are tastefully designed and provide a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, I fear that the undertaking is also a function of synergy. Nevertheless, we recommend at least a visit to the excellent food that is not only Bavarian."

"We arrived there after a round of SUB on the adjacent lake. Until 18:00 there is no service at the table just a self-service inside at the counter. This is completely fine and is well organized by a guest call system. I have to say for my person that I expected a kiosk of food at the restoration. But what was then delivered from the kitchen or was ready to pick up was definitely Restaurant Level. Both portions were very large and absolutely fresh. My scavenger was fresh and the pommes were nicely crispy. The burger was the standard way to get it often nowadays. Unfortunately with finished Patty and Donetsk Bun. But, as I said, standard is now common everywhere. What was very convincing visually is the fresh cake counter. Who doesn't find the right thing here is very picky. For my taste huge pieces at a very reasonable price. Even the icefall is not open to any wishes. We would definitely recommend a visit."
