"This restaurant embodied every bad aspect that an establishment could have. My family of six decided to try this restaurant after passing by the place for years on our way to one of our favorite "nieve" (local sherbet) places Zaachila. I wish we had kept going this time too.. The ambiance is very unattractive with cheap tables and chairs and an eager but talentless singer. What she lacked in voice, she made up for with volume. We had to scream at each other to be heard. When the waiter finally came by I asked if my smaller kids could use the pool and he informed us that they could if we ordered the buffet. The four adults ordered the buffet and the kids order a la cart and drank sodas because there was not much they liked on the buffet.. The food was ghastly. Salads without dressing, dried out chicken and pork and other totally nondescript dishes. For dessert we had a tasteless paste that they were calling "arroz con leche" (kind of rice pudding). I even ordered a mezcal that somehow had developed carbonation, something it's not supposed to have. My beer wasn't quite cold; they couldn't even get that right. When the bill came I was shocked. It was about 300 pesos higher than I calculated coming in at 1200 pesos. That's very high for this type of establishment. I found that they had charged us for 6 buffets when only 4 adults had the buffet. When I asked for them to correct the mistake they informed me that we were automatically charged for the two extra buffets because the kids used the pool. I informed him that 4 of us had had the buffet and we didn't swim. That isn't how it works, he said. The people who eat the buffet can swim and the people who don't, can't!!! Now, if everything about this place hadn't been a crime against my time with my family, I would have just paid and never returned. Not this time. I refused to pay for the 2 buffets we didn't order or receive. They started to play a game of sending "managers" out to confirm that I would have to pay for the phantom buffets or there would be trouble. I told them to call the owner if necessary, but I was not going to pay. After waiting about a half hour I did the math, deducting the 2 buffets and took it to the office: As I was walking away, they threatened to call the police and actually picked up the phone at one point.Without a doubt, this was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant and not just because of the terrible food, but the horrible staff as well."
