"Die Vergabe von " nur" vier Punkten versteht sich im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants dieser Kategorie- also ein Stern. Wir besuchten dieses Restaurant im Rahmen des " Reinschmecker Menüs" -5 Gänge und ein Aperitif inklusive. Das 1622 wirkt in der Ausstattung ein wenig kühl,aber geschmackvoll. Als Aperitif wurde ein sehr guter Silvaner Sekt serviert.Das Menü entsprach völlig dem Anspruch an ein Restaurant dieser Kategorie. Kleiner Abzug: das Menü wurde weder durch den Service vorgestellt, noch lag es schriftlich vor. Die uns gereichte Weinkarte rief daher ein Fragezeichen in unseren Augen auf-Wein aussuchen ohne die Speisen zu kennen?? Also hilfesuchend den Service bemüht. Der empfohlene Silvaner dann sehr gut und preislich mit 20 Euro für ein Restaurant dieser Klasse ein Hit. Der französische Rotwein zum Haupteingang sehr gut aber mit 11 Euro pro Glas vielleicht etwas überteuert. Warum nur vier Punkte? Hier entscheidet der persönliche Gesamteindruck.Uns fehlte ein wenig die Herzlichkeit, ein wenig das absolut besondere eines solchen Abends. Wir haben es einfach schon besser erlebt. Den zweiten Abend verbrachten wir im Zweitrestaurant der Familie Schneider, in " Kristinas Esszimmer". Dieser Raum wirkt deutlich gemütlicher, serviert wird deutsches Essen auf gehobenem Niveau, auch ein Menü steht zur Auswahl. Sehr ordentlich, Rehragout mit Spitzkohl 24 Euro, Riesengarnelen auf Risotto ebenfalls. Wir übernachteten im zugehörigen Hotel Die Zimmer und Bäder sind ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. 110 Euro für das DZ sind zu viel. Frühstück " normal" - keine Extras wie z.B frisch zubereitete Eierspeisen, wie man es andernorts doch häufig angeboten bekommt. Auch hier fehlte ein Stück Herzlichkeit im Service. Pluspunkt beim Frühstück: Die frisch gebackenen verschiedenen Brötchen und die ausgefallenen hausgemachten Marmeladen - diese kann man als Mitbringsel auch käuflich erwerben."
