"I forgot a short pant and a t-shirt on the shower and they did not even bother to call me to let me know. I became aware about when I was in the capital, which is about 350 km away. I hope they have a Lost and Found department, just in case I go around there in the future."

"I live there about 6 months back in 2012. I rented the small apartment on the bottom of the building with the private terrace, great value to about $300 USD monthly including all utilities, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Just 3 minutes walk to the beautiful Malecon and Marina of Samana. Very recommended, especially for a long-term stay."

"Overall, I was extremely pleased with my recent stay at this resort but I have to give a specific shoutout to the incredible staff. The service is always provided with a smile, and they all are very focused on ensuring your stay the best it can be. I did have one or 2 minor issues that if not handled as quickly could have made my review a 4 instead of a 5, but the speed at which they made sure my issues were handled was second to none. Best service I’ve ever had at any resort The buffet food was very good, and plenty of options to choose from. I also liked the fact that it was a fairly quiet not focused on “partying” This is not the place for you if you are looking for loud, crazy late night parties, big beaches, tons of pools, jet ski or other water sports. This is the place for you if you are looking for rest relaxation. Loved my stay and would highly recommend."

"Wonderful hotel-- my friends and I were in a difficult situation after a difficult AirBnb host cancelled us in the last second, and the staff in the Bannisters were so helpful, beyond and beyond to ensure that we rest a safe and comfortable place for the night at a reasonable price. The hotel is beautiful and has a magnificent view. Thank you to all the staff who helped us if we needed it!"
