"I was looking for a late night meal when I came across this Denny’s Restaurant at about after midnight. First it was freezing in there. Secondly, it took the attendant almost 15 minutes to take my order even though there was no one ahead of me. Because I was shivering in there, I waited for my order in my car. When I received my order, my instincts told me to check it. Half of my food was missing: hash brown, eggs, toast, drinks. Then I was told that the cook was about to leave and so he refused to do any more cooking. Meanwhile, two customers were waiting more than 15 minutes to place their order and were told that the registers were closed because they have no cook. I was visiting NJ for the weekend. I have never came across such an inefficient Denny’s restaurant.."

"Beware of beverage poisoning! I leave Shore Diner one star because I really wanted to like it but in the end I found very few, if any at all, redeeming qualities during our dining experience. From the outside it really does not look like an active lively diner at all, it actually looks abandoned, but when you walk in it's actually very bright and has a welcoming decor. We went for lunch and it was my first time there and I was told it was a great place to eat for casual dining any time of day. That was the hope. The food itself was just okay. The egg rolls were a bit undercooked. My burger was... decent-ish. The French onion soup was not that great. Our server at first seemed nice enough, but things kind of went downhill from there. Before any of the food came, we brought to her attention that the iced tea we ordered tasted like there was dish soap mixed in... and I mean a heavy soap taste... disgusting. She apologized and said it was just freshly made and she would check with her manager. We suggested that maybe they didn't rinse out the carafe properly and some soap may have remained in there... she seemed apologetic and then consulted with the manager but it didn't seem like they were going to do anything more. Then when our check comes they had the nerve to actually charge us for the soapy iced tea. She went back and fixed the mistake and brought us an updated bill. Despite the complaints and such we finished our meal as best we could and went to pay at the counter and at that time I had overheard the conversation with the counter clerk and our server; she was more concerned about how much of a tip we left her. Very disappointed in Shore Diner. Seriously, no joke, no exaggeration, but they gave one of us food poisoning. It was bad, too. We actually had to go to Urgent Care two days later and be put on antibiotics because other than the soapy tea and slightly undercooked egg roll we had not had anything out of the ordinary in our diets that week. Shame on you Shore Diner."

"A couple of nice things first; the server got all our orders right, portion sizes were good, menu has lots of options.BUT, that was the slowest service I have ever experienced at a diner. Like, over 20 minutes to come back with coffee. And the place was almost empty, maybe three other tables. And when we did get our food it was kind of bland even by diner standards and didn't seem like any effort went into it for the length of time it took. Just enough spice to turn home fries orange but not affect taste and things like that.Maybe we caught them on a bad day. Couldn't recommend the place in good conscience.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options."

"This the place You could spend Your cash if You are looking for a decent bagel. Make sure You count Your pennies before You leave! Not certain if they are including their holiday bonus in their 4.20USD for 3 cold yet soft bagels however there was no holiday tip from the customer for the following reasons. And yes, It would have been nice to give a holiday tip for a business that has such great potential. Not sure how their holiday bonus prospectus is looking ;/Pros: orange juice with pulp, low fat cream cheese options and a variety of bagels. Excellent butter for sale and a variety of soups. Usually.Cons: at 5:30 AM bagels were COLD. Upon entering was a blonde with a hoodie buying everything but bagels who went behind the counter to be rung up at discount before a full price paying customer. The blonde was spouting negative comments about the customer to the cashier who was short. Short on customer service. He rolled his eyes and made a face before registering the order of the full price paying customer. No uniforms or menu with prices so it is not known who works there and who doesn't. Nor is it known how much You could pay. One of the only real bagel establishments in the area with soft, large bagels so for this; people probably pay a premium. However as someone whose first job was in the bagel business anything less than hot bagels at 5:30AM is less than acceptable. No masks. No gloves used for this transaction. No known how many employees they have....?"
