"It was December and there wasn't enough natural snow, but a lot of Kunstschnee (artificially made snow)Still as it was my first day in the mountains that month I really wanted to snowboard. =) It wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed it anywayAfter those 3 hours we went to this bar/cafe/restaurant and first I was a "typical" me ordering either prosecco or was it white wine? don't rememberbut then I saw this incredible machine that makes this shots...and the next thing you know we were drinking shots on fire =)it didn't become my fav beverage but I liked the experience =)perfect apres-ski place"

"Auffach is very quiet so there wasn't a lot of choice. We ended up going here twice in a four night stay because it was an nice environment, friendly service, good food and decent beer, wine & cocktails. Quite reasonably priced as well. Right by the gondola base, and attached to the pub which was great apres-ski but very quiet later on.Wide menu choice, and they gave us an English version of the menu. Food is restaurant-quality traditional Austrian."

"We visited Gipfo Hit on two occasions on our recent ski trip, one for coffee and beer and the second for lunch. The staff on both occasions were really friendly, smiley and very helpful, and all spoke English, although we did attempt to order in German, I suspect unsuccessfully as the staff's responses were in English!! We had the liver dumpling in a beef broth. I had taken a fancy to the dumplings in beef broth and aimed to sample a different flavored one each day. At Gipfo Hit it was the turn of the liver dumpling ... yum yum. It was almost like a mild haggis in a dumpling, I know that all sounds odd to the British palate and our take on a dumpling but oh my goodness it really works very well indeed, specially after a full morning skiing and sitting outdoors on the top of a snowy white mountain, perusing the stunning panoramic jagged mountain range views bathed in glorious sunshine! There is tons of outdoor seating, and the views are truly spectacular as long as its clear!"
