"We popped in on Saturday whilst our car was being serviced, not realising they did a full cooked breakfast and what a feast for just £5. Piping hot coffee too. The ladies behind the counter couldn't do enough for us, they were great. This place is lovely, quaint, and such a good find. A good chance to catch up with the papers too! We never felt rushed, took our time and felt very welcomed."

"My mother and older friend here for the afternoon, on Tuesday, they were both so impressed never had a choice of sandwich before anywhere else! sandwiches, selection of scoone with cream and jam and choice of cake plus tee for £11.95 I believe. the tee room is beautiful, old-fashioned atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and polite, highly recommended."

"My daughter and I had a wonderful weekend staying here. The rooms are well appointed with tea and coffee and a private bathroom. Clean and comfortable and a little quirky as befits such a fine old building. The food is delicious and inclusive of all dietary requirements and the staff are cheerful and super helpful, they will do anything they can to make sure your stay is the best. We were there on a rather damp August weekend but there's enough to see in the local area and there was a great local band playing on one night. There is a massive mature enclosed garden out the back, right next to a field of roaming cows! I think they are planning to provide camping facilities in the future. A great atmosphere, well priced drinks and craft ales, and not forgetting the hog roast! Call ahead to see what events they have coming up; it could be live music, a clairvoyant or maybe a tarot reader! There seems to be something new each week, a visit by Vikings is planned! We'd come back every week if we could! Would highly recommend staying at this unique Inn. Recently under new management with tons of enthusiasm and very open to suggestions and comments.
