"Very disappointed by this restaurant we arrived for 8:40 p.m., he did not accept us on the pretext that he was waiting for the world while 5 or 6 tables were empty and the service was rated from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.! "Accueil très agréable, personnels très sympathique,les plats sont délicieux, surtout le fondant au chocolat le meilleur que j'ai jamais mangé :-), rapport qualité/prix au top !!! On y va des qu'on est en Alsace. Allez-y c'est vraiment un très bon restaurant !!!"

"We discovered this restaurant and after having booked we decided to go there to taste flambées pies. The restaurant is friendly and very popular. The waitress came to take the order, but only with regard to the aperitives, within 5 minutes after we were installed. So IL was 19:25. Our evening badly started because the waitress broke a beer glass and thus overturned a quantity of lemonade beer on our son's shirt, which was so wet. So our son found himself at our table without a shirt. We had to wait until 8:10 so that the same waitress would take our order, 2 torched pies and 1 pizza. We once again waited for more than 25 minutes for our 3 dishes to be served, and this by insisting a little while because our son was still hungry and still naked.I understand that there are people but in this case when guests come at the table it is essential to warn them that the service would be very long, especially since we were with our young child. We were able to dine after 20:30. The waitress apologized on several occasions and pizza was offered for inconvenience: wet shirt and very long waiting. I hope that the restaurant staff will help to prevent their customers when a waiting may be very long, even if the majority of people are not in a hurry for lunch or dinner. The frame is nice and prices are correct. This restaurant serves mainly pizzas and pies. The grade will be average, and would have been poor if the staff had not made a commercial gesture. I still think this place is nice."

"We visited Au Lion d'Or' for dinner whilst staying at another of the village hotels. The hotel is an attractive building right in the village centre. The restaurant, at the back, is in a vast room which reminds one of dining on an ocean liner....Food was of a high standard and we were impressed by the complimentary amuse-bouches' which arrived before the starter and after the first course. The chef here is clearly serious and proud, and it showed. We had some stunning foie gras (no apologies whatever to the antis' A side-salad ordered for my wife who preferred not to have a first course was a little work of art in itself. Excellent wine-list. Pity the service was stiff and characterless (whilst nevertheless being perfectly efficient) and that there was no sign of senior support on the restaurant floor because otherwise one could easily have given this restaurant the top Trip Advisor rating ."
