"Travelled from London to visit the wife 's family. Like Scotland, Yorkshire 's Fish Chip shops remove the skin from their fish before frying. The Sea Urchin is another Yorkshire fish and chip shop that serves amazing Fish Chips. The two female staff members who were serving when I visited were helpful, polite and chatted away. Will definitely return when we are next up seeing the Family. Highly recommended"

"Used to be my favourite chippy but the past 2 times I've been it hasn't been great. And today was worse than the last..over cooked greasy fish. And stone cold greasy chips.. looks like I am going to have to find a new chippy.. shame as its always been good in the past : Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

"The recent change of ownership has been a good thing for this fish shop. The quality of the fish on offer has improved greatly. The fish here always used to be a bit sloppy and mushy. Now the fish on offer is much nicer, it's...firm flakes of flesh are just right and taste much better. I personally think the previous owners served up cod rather than haddock which is far superior. The new owners have also decorated and cleaned up the place making me feel more comfortable with the hygiene levels now on offer. I for one will continue to use this fish shop regularly."

"This really pains me to post because I’m a regular to this place and really love the food normally however, me and the wife had fish and chip tea last Saturday and it was a disappointment. We had fish and chips each. Small peas and small curry. The first fish was already done and ready but they had to cook another. So 1 fish was Luke warm even the chips were very Luke warm. The other was 1 piping hot fish and Luke warm chips. It was like they had been sat around for a while. In the shops defense it was around 8pm on a Saturday night so nearly closing time but when you are parting with £20 you expect it to be nice and hot. I’m really sorry lads but this wasn’t great and a waste of money that time."
