"Impressed. because there were no vegan options on the menu, I was a little understandable and doubtful what I would get. I was offered a selection of three meals that could be a starter or a main and a choice of two dessert. it is the best vegan meal I have eaten. huge compliments to the chef, many thanks. the smoked aubergine tempura star and the chipotle chickpea chilli surpassed my expectations and was thoroughly enjoyed. I had a few comments that my eating looked the best! please note that there are many local vegans who have the opportunity to have a fine culinary experience. my only comment is that I feel that the cheek-erbsen would have a bit more heat to balance the aromen even better. many thanks again for a delicious meal."

"Went for their Christmas themed Afternoon Tea. Superb quality locally sourced food which included the best tasting scones we'd ever eaten. Made with buttermilk we were informed. Love pianist/singer who went around chatting to each table. Lovely staff friendly, professional, chatty. A great meal in lovely surroundings. Our table was in the Orangery part of the North Wing Restaurant. Very reasonably priced too. Service: 5"

"We booked a table for 6.30 a.m. and arrived at 6.15 a.m. and waited with a drink in the bar. We finally sat at 6.50 a.m. after another couple who was in front of us but had not booked. What is the point when booking a table if you need to wait your spin anyway? On the food counter I chose beef and my husband turkey and gammon. Beef was totally infertile, I couldn't even let it chew alone. But after complaining the waiters quickly changed it for the turkey that was pretty good. The cauliflower cheese was not cheesy at all, but the roast potatoes and cabbage were pretty. Overall, it did not consider a good value for money, but then it was bank holiday Monday and I think it is cheaper in the week, but do not intend to return."

"Was really looking forward to eating here today after popping in for a mid week drink .. was so disappointed my husband had the fish cakes which were very small I had the cod chips as to be honest there wasn’t anything else on the menu I wanted .. not a great choice of starters or mains .. it was ok … my husband had apple blackberry crumble which was so small it looked like a sample … when I told the waitress she was apologetic as he’d been given a mini one not the one ordered which she deducted from the bill … lovely place great staff but disappointed with the food"
