"I went to the Covered Market in Nancy because I read somewhere I would get a good but inexpensive lunch. It didn't quite work out that way and I enjoyed probably the best meal I had in Nancy. Chez Marie-Pierre has a bunch of tables inside the Market but these were all occupied. I was directed to the actual Restaurant which stood next door but still inside the Market. I was looked after by Marie herself, the most charming Patronne. The menu concentrated on fish and shellfish and she guided me through the wide selection of oysters on offer and her recommendation was not the most expensive. She also suggested, after the oysters, that I had an entree as a main course. I then spotted the dessert others were having, a plate of 5 tiny desserts, which I ordered and enjoyed immensely. So, although the meal was excellent, it was not quite the budget busting snack I intended but it was an unforgettable meal."
