"The restaurant has lots of charm and character which is why it is a shame that the food lets it down. Salmon ravioli was swimming in a thick gooey sauce and the ravioli was clearly readymade. Cuisine seems old fashioned heavy creamy based which is great if you like that sort of food which we sadly don't. Not worth a return visit"

"I almost didn't write this review in a fit of selfishness as it's quite small and fills up quickly. The outside is a little off putting but ignore it. The place is run single handed (on the service side at least) by a charming waiter named Max who appears to speak at least four languages fluently. The food is top rate and it's really good value in an area famed for its expensive eateries. Max makes you feel welcome despite running around at top speed to get everything done. I would go before 8pm as we have frequently seen people turned away after that as its full."

"Went for dinner following a long day and having to change hotels at the last minute. We reserved by phone, arrived early and were warmly welcomed. Staff charming, food good, very well cooked but mainly seafood. Wine suggested was a clean rose and by far not the most expensive. We will be back."

"There are a number of restaurants in a line on the front of pinarellu. With the exception of the “Vig Vog” (which should be avoided at all costs) they are all pretty good. For some reason in 14 years we had missed Le Rouf. Turns out that was a major error and we will certainly be back. Don’t be put off with the lack of house “pichet “ the 16 Euro half bottle of rose we had was one of the best I have tasted. Staff were lovely which was notable considering France had just won the World Cup and it was 37 degrees."

"We go every time we're in Corsica. The location is excellent with one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica. When August was cramped, but we had a table for 11 anyway. Great service and the food is delicious. And good service as we came with the boat."
