"Das Familienessen mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Jugenlichen sollte diesmal hier stattfinden. Das Lokal ist nah an der Unterkunft und die Bewertungen nicht schlecht.Unser reservierter Tisch war zusätzlich noch mit einem fremden Pärchen besetzt. Das war kein Problem, weil ich von dieser Praxis hier ja schon gelesen hatte. Da die Küche nicht stark besetzt ist, wird schon bei der Bestellannahme gebremst. Das ist zwar nur eine Vermutung, aber aus meiner Sicht sehr plausibel. Bestellt hatten wir 4 mal Zwiebelrostbraten und 2 mal Lachs mit Salat. Der Rostbraten für 17,50€ hatte einen guten Garpunkt. Allerdings waren die Stücke relativ klein und bei zwei Portionen bestand die Hälfte nur aus Sehnen, die mit den gereichten stumpfen Butterbrotmessern nicht zu durchtrennen waren. Die dazu gereichte Portion Pommes mussten sich jeweils 2 Personen teilen. Der Lachs war ordentlich gegart, konnte aber selbst die 75 jährige Oma nicht annäherd sättigen. Die Biere hatten normale Preise, aber da es keine grosse Cola gab, mussten wir 2,40€ für jedes 0,2l Glas bezahlen. Das sind 12€/Liter!?Hinterher waren wir 125€ ärmer und noch hungrig. Man sollte also noch eine Vorspeise und einen Nachtisch einplanen.Dass ein paar Meter neben den Tischen eine Ecke mit Sperrmüll eingerichtet war, gibt hier ebenfalls keine Pluspunkte.Woanders haben wir bisher meist besser gegessen, deshalb würde ich hier nicht mehr unbedingt hingehen."

"Had a dinner here during the winter break in December. It is very cozy and has a great traditional atmosphere. It's not so exciting for food. Portions are small and choice is limited, more from a snack menu, if you are looking for a good...fixed dinner, this is NOT the place to go. Service is professional and friendly. Would you just pick up drinks and order snacks. If you are after a proper dinner, Rottach Egern definitely has much better restaurants, such as Markus Weinstube and Messner Gutenl on the Seestraße."

"Just came back there after several years not visiting the region, sort of nostalgy and very positive memories. Location still the same with a fantastic view across the lake, a wooden fire was on, hardly any diners. Disappointed about the Kasspatzn, very happy about the service, i.e. speed and kids-friendly."
