"We were booked in quite early, but as the evening progressed, the restraurant (lovely minimalist decor, charming atmosphere) slowly filled and (this was a Friday evening) it became very evident that this was a hugely popular rendeezvous with the ladies of La Fleche and district, who had clearly left their male partners at home for a good old get-together with their female chums. There was a LOT of gossip going on! The food is superb, with a lot of little dishes to refresh the palate between the courses. Expert service, lovely presentation on the plate, and while the décor may be kept to the minimum, the food wasn't! It may not happen every evening, but the front dining area seemed to be reserved for families with children, the back room is more for adults. But the youngsters that we saw (unlike a good many of the like at home) were perfectly behaved. Good wine list, and nothing that makes you wince when the bill is presented. Among the best in the region."
