"We were a party of 9 popped in here for lunch with Australian relatives and lucky to be able to use the big table in the middle and we could all sit together. Very welcoming on our arrival. Waitress was very friendly and efficient and able to note down all our choices and requests with helpful advice. Our food selection was delicious from the spicy sweet potato soup with cheese scone to the pizzas and filled rolls with bacon/sausage/egg/ black pudding and bowls of chips for us all to share! Teas and coffees came in separate pots for each individual. Everything was as it should be, very tasty and we all commented on how efficient chef and staff were forgetting nothing and very orderly. We will be back. Our lunch was the ‘icing on the cake’ for our Braemar visit and we wish you great success with your business. Thank you!"

"We've been here a few times and have had the same food each time as it's really nice. We had toast with hummus, salad and crisps on the side, vegan sticky date loafs and an americano with oat milk. "A nice cafe with a lot more seating than you'd think. We stopped for coffee and cake, which were very nice and reasonably priced. Notices ask you to find a clean table before making your way to the counter with your table number, where service is efficient. Our coffee and cake were prepared at the counter and we took them to our table. There is extra seating inside down a couple of steps to an area which is dog friendly and beyond is an outside terrace with river views."

"The perfect stop to relax after a long day of hiking. the place is well located (I came back from the Deeside route and went to the lion face,) served amazing bakery and eat and offers beautiful coffee. they would recommend if they were in the opposite!"

"We were staying at the hotel, so wanted the full Fife Arms experience. We had cocktails in Elsa 's Bar, which were excellent, and served by very friendly, enthusiastic staff. Unfortunately, the dining experience was not nearly as good. First of all , neither of us could find anything exciting on the menu. We would have happily had two starters, as we often do in very good restaurants, but there simply were not enough interesting starters. The main options of vegetarian, cod, lamb or beef wellington for two were so uninspiring that we both ordered the lamb, which was decent quality meat with a completely tasteless sauce. Why was there no game on the menu? Wild duck or pheasant would have been excellent. And why serve cod as your fish dish, when so many more exciting fish are available? The wine list is excruciatingly expensive I think there is one wine under £50, with most being significantly more expensive. I ordered the Muscadet, which was the cheapest on the list, but absolutely excellent. As was the La Madone Fleurie at £50. However, having had such a disappointing dinner, breakfast in The Clunie was superb. Staff, for both dinner and breakfast, were exceptional, with Jasmine being a delight, plus a lovely Irish waitress who made our day with a cheery How are you today, my lovelies?"
