"We asked the local winery for a recommendation and we were told to go to Valli Unite. We got there and were so pleased. It has everything, a barn with cows and pigs. A beautiful setting and it even has accommodations. I don’t speak Italian but we managed to figure out that it was a fixed price menu and there was raviolo and meat. We thought it was worth a try. We didn’t have reservations and they were kind enough to fit us in. It was 12:30 and they only started serving at 1:00. The place was empty and we had our doubts. Then we stepped into the garden and there were a few people already waiting. By the time we visited the barns I heard someone shout, They are ready to serve. So we went in. As we entered the restaurant, it was full!!! Where did all these people come from? To make things short, there is no menu, they just serve you, plate after plate. Appetizers onto the meal and then dessert. I counted 8 courses. They were laughing at us because we were already full after 3 courses and they knew we had no clue what was coming. Service was like clockwork. Professional, courteous and big smiles all around. The food was exquisite. I’ve honestly never eaten such quality food in all my visits to Italy and there have been many. It’s about 30 minutes off the highway from Tortona. You will be talking about this place for every more....."
