"I don't know who was working on Tuesday afternoon (around 4pm) but she did good! I love Scooter's iced coffee but often have trouble with baristas getting the right amount of vanilla syrup and cream added in. Seems trivial, but too much cream ruins it! This barista made it PERFECTLY!"

"Great idea to have a legit coffee bar in a library. Lost a star because it was super confusing to find (very little signage and google maps wasn't helpful) and when I called it was just a message referring me to the website."

"It’s not on the menu. They hide it in the fridge. Ask for it and swoon! Bacon Quiche is where it’s at, Foodie Friends! I’m a dairy woman and carry my own cream so I ordered an espresso shot. The reason I’m giving a four star review is because the coffee isn’t organic and the sugar isn’t turbinado. Seriously, how hard can it be to go organic? Get with the program!!!"

"BEST biscuits and gravy EVER- fluffy sausage. Dark Choc Cappuccino not too sweet: just right balance of rich espresso flavor with choice of sweet flavors and nice and airy. Blackberry Peach Muffin served warm and also great balance of not too sweet and super fluffy. Just Veggin ' panini was good but not great- would be great with ghouda, muenster, or asiago (but not an option here, yet). Cute open set up with couches and tables with cushy seats. Kind of hard to see off street/easy to miss. 'Everything is like a flavored cloud ' -the boyfriend"

"Mr. G and I were on a coffee crawl this morning and found this lovely shop on the square in Independence. The barista was amazing. This is a place for COFFEE. The food/pastry menu is very limited. Now I am not a fan of flavored lattes as they always seem too sweet and overpower the espresso. The barista explained that Common House makes its own syrup and described the syrup for the Almond Joy latte. OMG, it was amazing. Not too sweet, and flavorful and did not disappoint. Even served with artwork on the foam. Mr. G. had a pour-over. The seating was comfortable. the tables at a good height to relax and talk or work. There was a steady stream of people coming in for most excellent coffee. Clean and spacious gender-neutral restroom. Lots of plants. I am intrigued about the co-working space and will need to look into that. I would go out of my way to come and pick up coffee here, my latte was that good. They sell beans and there was some interesting merch."
