"At most cafes in France we visit we are more than welcome with our dog. However I always accept the "no dogs" rule inside any eating establishment and would never enter with our dog without asking permission. I have found when we sit outside in colder weather some cafe owners tell us to come inside. So imagine my surprise in Verteilliac on visiting this establishment when we SAT OUTSIDE and planned to ask for a cup of coffee.We were told abruptly NO DOGS.....and yes I ironically did not see the mulitude of "no dogs" signs that littered the establishment......clearly the owner has a problem and is "sign obsessed". If your a dog owner STAY WELL CLEAR :)"

"L 'Etape de la Menaurie is an absolute gem. Situated on the main road through St. Cernin de l 'Herm in what used to the petrol station, blink and you 'll miss it. Don 't be put off by the slightly shabby exterior. The daily lunchtime 'menu du jour ' Monday Friday includes an extensive entrée buffet including many regional specialities, a choice of main courses, a choice of desserts, coffee and wine ...... all for 12.50 euros ! The food is of an excellent quality, its all home cooked, and the proprietor is quite charming. Open Monday Friday, and every other weekend. Booking is essential for evening meals."

"A beautiful place where we ate very well: fresh products, worked by local producers or prepared on site. The speciality of the house: the salted and sweet pies. The formula 9.8-euro includes a salt pie with a small fresh salad, a sweet pie and a coffee. A pleasure! We choose its pies of 6-7 proposals and they are creamy, greedy... The charcuterie panel has been widely validated, accompanied by a glass of good red wine. We ate very well for a little salty note. Excellent price. Little doll tea salon held by a charming lady and her smiling and very good employee. It was the only restaurant open Monday and so much better for us, we recommend you eyes closed!"

"Overnight stay in this charming hotel, the managers are very welcoming, beautiful cozy decor, well arranged room. small: shutters, thank you so rare! less: mattress/drink that we found a little too hard for us. Breakfast: great choice and good products.Diner at the restaurant: fresh and quality products, nice presentation, a little expensive for non-gastronomical but the tasting makes us forget. Thanks again for your stay!"
