"Last week my mother and I went to our local Hoss's in Shamokin Dam, Pa, for lunch at 2:00 PM on 7-21-2022. We both got the salad bar, the appearance was not good. Lettuce bowl had a small amount, the shredded carrots had a very old taste, sliced onions were not all that fresh. The macaroni salad didn't have much in the container and also did not taste fresh. French bread had one small slice that looked shriveled up, again not fresh.The price of the salad bar at $11.97 is ridiculous for the quality that we had and you definitely don't get your money's worth, especially if you are a small eater. We also ordered cheeseburgers too, they were over done, very tough, had a burnt taste, and were very thin, our buns had burnt areas on the top bun. Our waitress never asked us how we would like our burgers cooked. Well at 10:00 PM this evening, I got very sick, non stop throwing up. I came to the conclusion that the macaroni salad was the culprit, possibly food poisoning, apparently the macaroni salad was possibly starting to spoil or was old. Our waitress was not all that pleasant either. I had asked her if we could have some extra napkins, she said yes, when she returned she only brought two, one for each of us, I guess you only get one napkin per customer. They really should bring back the paper placemats so your silverware doesn't have to touch the table, as well as having your plate on sitting on the table. You need to wear disposable gloves while at the salad bar for safety and sanitation purposes as well. Our bill was $35.00, a lot of money for the poor quality of food, and service, and on top of that possibly getting food poisoning. It will definitely be quite some time before returning to this restaurant."

"Good buffet for the price. Before I visited this buffet today, I thought the best Chinese buffet for Williamsport was the King House Buffet on golden stripes williamsport. But after I had eaten in this place, which is about 40 miles away from Williamsport, I changed my mind. China house strikes royal house. I have this buffet on Rt 11/15 at least 10 times before, but never tried to eat there. Because the entrance of this buffet gave me the impression of this place was a small rat hole buffet like some other Chinese buffets that we had previously eaten in various small towns. But I was wrong. We were so hungry when we were here and needed a lot of everything you can eat. So we thought we'd try. After I went into this not too big entrance, I was amazed at how big and beautiful this place was. It is at least twice larger than King House, and the whole restaurant also looks cleaner and newer. The servers there are very nice, very good service, fast. They saw my baby girl, who is 2 years old, was small, they didn't charge her at all without asking her age. They have a very large dining area with seven large dining stations, including a very fresh salad, fruit and sushi bar, a hot Chinese duck bar, a fried food and dim sum, an American food bar, a soup bar and seafood (we had lunch there so seafood bar for dinner was empty), a dessert and ice bar and a Mongolia BBQ bar. Many of the foods I had eaten there tasted pretty good like their chicken on the stem, tasted just like those made in to order Chinese restaurant, juicy and tender. Hot and acid soup was good, American food was good, etc. Most of their foods tasted better than those we have here. Some were OK. You need to find out yourself, because each body has different taste buds. For all you can eat, you only pay $6.49 per person for lunch, and $2.49 for 4 years old. I'm glad I checked this place, and in the future I could stop there when we go through this area every time. The buffet in Williamsport needs to improve as it soon opens a new Chinese buffet in Montoursville, just a few miles away. Can't wait!"
