"On a day trip to penrith we decided to have fish and chips as we passed this take out. my man had made home steak pier that was amazing. delicious delicate meat with beautiful gravy. I had the cod, the honest one was a little tasteless. on this day they had no squid. the chips were excellent."

"We had cheese and onion pie with chips and a steak pie with chips, pot of peas and gravy. Came to £14 which seemed a little steep however they were possibly the best pies we've ever had from a chippy! The cheese was an individual pie with lovely buttery pastry and the perfect filling. The steak was a slice from a large pie, again perfect pastry and loads a perfectly cooked steak filling. Got loads of chips too and they were also spot on, as were the peas and gravy. Worth the extra money and I'd definitely go again if we're in the area."

"I online ordered Gluten-free Cod and Chips and a Cod Lite Bite for my wife, both with Mushy Peas. It was delivered on time and was excellent . All well cooked and still really hot. Lite bite just right for my wife, the Gluten-free Cod was excellent, the best Gluten-free batter I have ever had , really light and crispy . The chips and mushy peas were really good too."

"Arrived over the Platinum Jubilee holiday . No food available on the 1st night. Took a sandwich in as we had travelled for 3 hrs . Man behind the bar came out and s told us we couldn 't do that so we apologised and ordered another drink and 9 bags of crisps . All seemed fine until a woman came out from.behind the bar with what appeared to be her daughter and started ranting and raving. When we explained that we had apologised she seemed to get worse . 9 of us from an 8 month old baby to an 80 year old lady. 4 Generations . So not a rowdy crowd. She then proceeded to tell us to leave and shouted after us that we prob wouldn 't spend much money over the weeknd as we were Scots . She then continued shouting that we were also banned from the Minimart. . The next day we had a good few fellow campers telling us their stories of bad service and ignorance by these people. Beggars belief after what we have all been through that a family away celebrating their 80 year old mother birthday with a wee family holiday could be treated in this manner . A shame really . Again we were wrong with the sandwiches but apologised and indeed received another drink and we had , we thought moved on , until this woman decided she would escalate the situation. Not so much angry with them more disappointed in thats how they treat good honest families"
