"My sister-in-law lives nearby and invites us to this restaurant when we visit her, which is at least twice a year. The food is always excellent and we've tried several of their meals. Recommend having reservations as it's always packed. Especially nice in summer when...you can sit outside."

"I have seen the positive reviews below, and I think my review is quite different. Unfortunately I have to say, this is the worst restaurant in and around Heidelberg I have ever seen. Let me explain why: First, the quality of food wasn't great at...all, and for me that's always a no go. Some of the steaks were ok, but most of the food was prepared long time before serving at a buffet and it just looked and tasted terrible. Although being at fresh air, the area is too huge for a restaurant. You have to walk miles to get to the buffet, and there are just a few waiters for all the guests. This does not match. Because you mainly sit outdoor and some of the food is prepared there as well, I had the bad luck that smoke (produced by the grill) was always present at my table. Additionally, the wooden chairs are very uncomfortable. In a nutshell, my experience was just bad bad food, bad service and bad atmosphere. I know that others might have a different experience that's just mine..."
