"We stopped on our bikes, parking places. mate had mega breakfast, I had the breakfast baguette, both very nice, not on all fat or crispy. will come back to visit when we continue."

"Visiting my home town, after many years, we stopped in Rock Park, to look around the area, where I did some of my growing up. The Cafe was a nice surprise, and we enjoyed our teas coffees, welsh cakes, but the best is the bara brith. Reminded me of what my Gran made. The volunteer staff are very friendly, and prices are very reasonable, as is admission to the park and the parking just outside is also free. One note, the houses pictured, are not of the cafe, but of 2 cottages, near the bowling green, one of which, was my family home."

"Called in for lunch on way home from Aberystwyth. Have visited here many times under previous owners. The food on this visit was the best. Ordered Jacket potatoes, one with creamy bacon and mushroom, the other with creamy cheese and leek. Both were absolutely delicious...and served with a beautiful tasty salad. All made fresh but not too long a wait. By the time we had drunk our coffees it was ready. Prices were very good. Mercedes and her staff were very helpful, and approachable. Nothing was too much bother. We were able to take the dog in, as she was unhappy being left in the car. Lovely little plant centre and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be calling in again next time we are passing. Thank you Mercedes and staff. June, Trudie and Sophie the Jack Russell."

"Popped into Powells for a bite to eat. Unfortunately it was a bit quiet so we were the only diners but the dishes we ordered were excellent. Freshly prepared and delicious. "I called here last minute with a friend on the way back from cardiff. the chips were closed in llandrindod fountain so that my buddy suggested here. I've been here for years. we had two coffees and a cheese slice, nothing to write at home and my buddy had the better looking steak and kidney cake. it came only at 9 pounds. I know that's not much for some. When I came home, I looked at the bill and they were charged at 50 p for the steak and niere. no big thing. the point. I was looking for a ketchup for the cake. I asked the women behind the counter where it was and she answered his 5. I said I had only one queer. I just fooled no. I suggest going back there. pay almost 9 pounds and charge the barely 5 p for a bit of sauce. some manage and customer service training would not go too. live and learn. two customers don't go back. very not recommended."

"Really good gregs, but over the few days I went into I had to wait until the vegans roll and new vegan melt are boiled. I just don't think they're going to do enough in advance, compared to everything else."

"As day visitors, we popped into the Aromas Café for a drink and a cake. I can highly recommend this café – a nice cuppa with a slice of cake and the staff were lovely as well. Toilets were clean and, importantly, they cleaned the tables with a paper towel and then disposed of it – no disgusting J cloths here! Would recommend a visit. I would certainly visit again."
