"One of the best experiences of my visit to Japan! This onsen facility is naturally fed from a hot spring and has a sand bath, an onsen waterfall , sauna, and outdoor onsen. It also has an on-site restaurant. I found all the facilities to be very clean and in great condition. I came on a Friday early morning/afternoon, and it was not too crowded. Plenty of native Japanese which indicated to me that this was indeed a great facility. If you 're looking for an onsen in the onsen capital of Japan, book this place now in your itinerary! It is close enough to for easy access but farther away from Beppu 's city center so that it 's not uncomfortably crowded with all of us tourists. Cash Only. Parking available. Transit was easy from Beppu Station with either the Oita Kotsu bus or the Kamenoi bus. I did not have to walk more than 10 minutes."

"We ordered Taco rice with seasonal soup, Hamburg with fog and a rum-Raisin-sash for dessert. From the two I prefer the flavors of the Taco rice, including the side salad, dressing and salsa it came with. The Hamburg wasn't bad either. Especially delicious, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Beautiful relaxing atmosphere and a pleasant owner. Menu in Japanese with limited English."

"It was an unique experience. Steaming your own food. Food was okay. It was steamed so it was healthy. And the sweetness of the vegetables was nice. Order process: Go all the way inside to write down your name and get a number tag. Order your food from the machine and get the receipt Wait for your number to be called. Ours took 50 mins. Collect your food once your number is called. They will give you your food and a timer and tell you your steaming pot number. Then you proceed to your steamer and steam your food! There are people there to help you and explain the process to you."

"We had dinner there and had the sweets. when we opened the menu and studied the menu card, the waiter consciously nodded and immediately asked “You are vegetarian, right? these dishes are all vegetarian.” we took the sweet curry and had a naanbrot. we did not ask if one of our dishes contains ghee or butter, so if they really want to be sure that their eating is totally vegan, they should probably ask for this. they can also get food for the removal."
