"Great ambiance. We had of walking to do to go there, we were all hungry, but the place was so nice that my omni friends were happy to go the extra distance to go there. Sadly most vegan options were not available when I went, but I still got a coffee with plant-milk and yokan which was delicious!"

"This restaurant was recommended by owner of the Turtle Inn. It is found in the residential neighborhood near the temples. It is a good place for dinner if you are staying in the area as there will be no buses back if you decide to dine in the area near the train. It is also go a good option for lunch if you are visiting the temples, though you have to be prepared for a long lunch as service is slow. This is not a vegetarian restaurant, but they serve a temple food set (shojin ryori) labelled as monk 's diet . This is a set with vegetable tempura, stewed yuba, salads and vegn sashimi . Yuba (soy sheets) is a Nikko specialty. The set was very delicious and we had dinner here for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. Besides the yuba set, they also have a stir fried vegetable spaghetti and vegetable sandwich. They also serve meatless mountain vegetable udon/soba, but the owner said the soup is made with fish. It was a great find as vegetarian options are limited in Nikko."

"I enjoy eating in Japan for the first time. I lived in Japan for 10 years but could never eat in a restaurant Ramen! My non-vegetarian Japanese husband also enjoyed the Ramenbrühe and Vege gyoza. The owner is friendly and his small business has a pleasant atmosphere."

"Very authentic little restaurant with very tasty vegan menues, vegan cake is also available. I would recommend to sit on a table, when you are not used to sit in the traditional way as your legs may hurt."

"Nice n cool experience, but for me and my friend this was not for us. I may literally imagine any vegan meal, but this felt like going through an oral, last thing they want when hungry. Although I suspect is a delicate and experience in a beautiful environment, they treat it like a game!"
