I had horse mackerel hot pot, horse mackerel steak, and horse mackerel sashimi for lunch. It was my first time trying horse mackerel dishes. I can't compare it to any other fish, it has a jelly-like texture. The taste varied between the hot pot, steak, and sashimi, and personally, I liked the steak the best.
