The food was really good! My only complaint would be that we ordered a $10 dessert and it was extremely tiny… gulab jamun malai. It was two tiny balls smaller than ping pong balls. But otherwise, the portions were really good for the price on the entrees. View all feedback.
What Vincent R doesn't like about Tamarind:
The food was ok. If you don't much care for “heat” ask for min or no spice, their idea of medium was killing all the New-England crowd, and even the southwest crowd were very warm. Watch out for the 20% large party charge. We were a party of 8 stuffed into a corner boothi. Watch out for the large party charge. Better to split into groups of 4 And sit like at adjoining tables. You will get better service too.

Great service and food. Staff and patrons were very tolerant of little one, but what can you say it's Dutchess county home to the best citizens in NY.
