"This was in times past a little gem in Ayr a perfect place for that romantic night where you could have a beautiful night but sadly our latest experience told a very different story, A table of four sitting right next to us shouted, screamed and used very foul language all night. When they left several tables were glad to see the back of them. I mentioned to the manager that I was disappointed they didn't have a word asking them to keep it down. The manager said they didn't hear anything which I don't believe as they place really isn't that big. It ruined out night and we regret going which should not be how you should feel when going out. Its really disappointing and we would think twice about going back if this is the type of customers they want to attract"

"Kilmarnock is famous for Johnny Walker Whisky and Killie Pies. To this short but splendid list, we should add Forum Ice-cream! Not content with the best vanilla flavour in the county, it now supplies a large range of flavours, each one a delight. "Best day of my life having our wedding here. From initially being shown round the venue, to booking and planning, the full team at the Gailes were the most attentive, enthusiastic and friendly hospitality team I've ever dealt with. A special thanks to Kathleen who walked us through every step of the process and advised us on anything we were unsure of. Our every request was made possible by her, and on the wedding day she put in a phenomenal effort. Aaron was also present on the day and when we were checking out, and is a genuinely great guy, helping us with any on the day requests and as we were packing up. We specifically asked for Casey to work at our wedding, after an amazing experience in the main restaurant one evening we went in. Despite now working at another venue, she returned and ran the bar with brilliant efficiency and banter with our guests who commented on being served so quickly at such a busy bar. The venue itself has been spotless every time we have visited, and when we got our room for our wedding stay it was no exception. The housekeeping team are a credit to The Gailes and were always so quick to say hello and check if we needed anything. Every person we've interacted with is a credit to the management at The Gailes. We didn't buy any treatments in the spa, but have made use of the facilities which might be the most relaxing room in Scotland. Whether it's dinner, afternoon tea or a night away, you'll have a great time. And if its a wedding, you'll find cheaper venues and you'll find far more expensive venues. But you will not find a venue that beats The Gailes."

"Just back home after a meal here. Very friendly people and nice restaurant. The food was very good quality, tasty, great menu and choice. A 3 course meal for £22.50 is very reasonable. "We was on a stop over after a Scottish holiday and we found this place. what a gem. my wife had fish chips and peas and I had steak pie chips and gravy. absolutely amazing. Great service with a smile and well priced."

"Just been for a lovely meal with my wife and 2 kids (3 and 5 years old). It was very nice and the service was great. Portion size was good and the man helped us with ordering as we didn't want anything too spicy for our children. We are currently on holiday at the Park Dean nearby and would recommend this place as a treat for tea one evening. Thanks"

"Church party of 44 had high tee in this wonderful restaurant. the service of all the girls was fast and they could not do enough to make our visit pleasant. the food was excellent and the cakes and the scones brought were delicious from this world. many thanks for having finished our day so well."
